Day 2 - ERA policy agenda
On the second day, four parallel “breakout” workshop sessions will take place focussing on different aspects of the ERA policy agenda. The breakout session structure is based on the three main pillars of research and innovation ecosystem – people, infrastructure and economy - with the additional horizontal area of open science. Sessions will hold the following titles: ERA for prospective scientific careers, ERA for research infrastructure, ERA for economy and ERA for open science.
Each breakout session will start with an inspirational speech delivered by a distinguished speaker within the session’s field. During the subsequent discussion, moderators will use leading questions, enabling them, along with their rapporteurs, to extract relevant policy recommendations from participants. Moderators will facilitate each session to guide the debate and formulate on-the-spot recommendations that could be tested using the online participation tools and used to prepare the conference report.
